Am I the only one that can’t stop seeing these matcha-covered strawberries on my fyp? Anyone? Well, I got tired of drooling at my screen, so I tried them out. And OH MY, they do not disappoint. I totally get why they’re so viral. So let me tell you how I’ve made them so that you can try them out and be obsessed just like me.
They’re ridiculously easy to make, like, 4-ingredient-easy. And they’re totally delicious, perfect for any occasion! Whether you’re snacking solo or sharing with friends, these strawberries bring together creamy white chocolate, juicy berries, and the vibrant flavor of Matcha DNA’s matcha powder.
Let’s dive in!
Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 tsp Matcha DNA organic matcha powder (the star of the show, obvs, for vibrant color and flavor)
- 1 ¼ cup of white chocolate chips (for that smooth, sweet coating)
- 16 fresh strawberries (large and juicy, washed and completely dry)
- 4 tsp coconut oil (coconut + chocolate + matcha flavor combo = ⋆˙⟡ heaven ⋆˙⟡)
How to make them
- Prep your tray: Line a baking sheet or cutting board with parchment paper.
-
Melt the chocolate:
- Place the white chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Heat in 15–20 second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Mix in the matcha powder: Add your Matcha DNA matcha powder to the melted chocolate and stir until evenly combined and vibrantly green.
-
Dip your strawberries:
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the matcha-chocolate mixture.
- Let the excess drip off before placing the strawberry on the prepared parchment paper.
-
Set and chill: Place the dipped strawberries in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes or until the chocolate is fully set.
That’s it! I swear: Best. Combo. Ever. >ᴗ<
Pro-tips for insta-worthy results
Take your matcha strawberries to the next level:
- The greener, the better: obsessed with matcha like we are? Add a little more!
- Chill your strawberries first: cold strawberries make for smoother dipping and help the coating set faster.
- Double-dip for extra oomph: who said one layer of matcha-chocolate was enough? Once the first layer is set, dip the strawberries again for a thicker, richer coating.
-
Play with toppings: let your creativity shine with toppings like:
- Crushed pistachios for crunch.
- Toasted coconut for a tropical twist.
- Edible glitter for a glam vibe—my special fave!
